Natives of the region, Cathy and Jean-Pierre welcome you to their cottages adjoining the Mas, with their typically Provencal charm.

La fenière

Gîte of 90 m2, fitted out for 4 people
Exposed stones, fireplace, old beams, are all elements that help to reinforce the authenticity of this place, combined with comfort and contemporary design.

La treille

Gîte of 47 m2, fitted out for 2 people
Authenticity and design were the watchwords of this old cellar. The exposed Fontvieille stones give a warm atmosphere to the living rooms which open onto a private space.

Le pigeonnier

Gîte of 65 m2, fitted out for 4 people
Restored in keeping with tradition, this characterful gite, fitted out in an old stone outbuilding, has all the comfort and charm of Provençal living.

The swimming pool

You will enjoy our swimming pool (5m x 10m), its terrace and its deck chairs for a moment of relaxation in the sun. Its access is protected by a secure barrier. Open from May 15 to September 30, it is to be shared with owners and other gites.

Animals

At Mas Médaille we love animals and we have a few year-round residents. You will meet Menthol our dog and our Jars: Jean-Michel. We also have a cat, geese and chickens!

Our philosophy

Concerned about the preservation of nature, we practice selective sorting and compost. We use environmentally friendly products as much as possible, domestic water and central heating are produced partly by solar panels and we use a condensing boiler.

The Mas Provençal

Loving to meet and exchange with our holidaymakers, we will be able to advise you on the specificities of the region as well as the small roads off the beaten track and will direct you to what interests you.

Visits & Activities

From Mas Médaille you have the possibility of walking on the dike which runs along the Petit Rhône and you can also observe migratory birds such as bee-eaters, rollers, hoopoes, cranes, storks, lapwings, kites and many others. The tourist visits of Arles, Nîmes, Les Baux de Provence are also nearby.

Arles is a city very rich in historical sites, come and discover its arenas, its ancient theatre, the cryptoporticoes (former Roman markets), the museum of ancient Arles, Saint Trophime, its cloister and many other magnificent sites…

Camargue traditions

Come mingle with the people of Arles on the occasion of the Gardian festival (May 1), the Arlesian costume festival (first weekend of July), take part in the Easter and rice ferias (in September), the atmosphere is incomparable.

Natural environments

A region very rich in ornithological heritage, you will come across more than 400 recorded species of birds in the Camargue. You will also find many opportunities for walking or cycling in the Alpilles and on the seaside.

Festivals

Between the International Photography Festival and the Southern Music Festival, Arles is opening up a little more to culture with the upcoming inauguration of the Tour de Luma designed by architect Frank Gerry, which will house a cultural centre.
